김용남은 뜬금없이 다음과 같은 추상적인 이야기를 한다.
인간의 정신도 뉴턴의 만유인력의 법칙에 지배를 받는 것 같다. 질량을 가진 물체는 다른 물체를 끌어당기는 힘이 있고, 그 힘은 질량의 차이에 따라 달라지는데, 이 단순한 법칙이 혼돈 속에서 질서를 형성시킨다.
이런 원리에서 접근하면‘ 교집합’ 찾기란 그렇게 어려운 일이 아니다. 이 방식은 자연스러운 일이며 이미 우리 안에 내재되어 있는 방식이다. 그리고 인간이 누구나 이익을 추구하는 것 또한 자연스러운 현상이다. 이익 추구는 결국 개별 생명의 지속가능성을 늘리기 위한 본능적인 방식이다. 그러나 여기서 하나 못 챙긴 이익이 있다는 것을 인식시키면 된다.
그 못 챙긴 이익이란, 다른 생명의 이익이 나의 이익에 부합하며 그것이 훨씬 더 장기적인 이익을 담보할 수 있다는 인식이다. 이러한 인식과 인간의 이익추구가 교집합을 형성할 때 인간의 이익추구는 생명에 대한 사랑과 동격이 되는 특성을 가지게 될 수 있다.
김용남이 찾는 교집합은 이 지점이며 이러한 특성을 내포한 하나의‘ 벽돌’을 낳기 위해 무수한 짝짓기를 시도한다. 이 벽돌은 일종의 유전자를 내포하고 있는 벽돌로서 이 벽돌로 태어난 건축물은 비슷한 특성을
가진 존재들을 끌어당길 것이다. 생명을 가진 존재는 설명하거나 교육하지 않아도 본능적으로 내포된 유전자적 특성이 드러난 형태만 보고도 직감적으로 파악한다. 그리고 그 특성은 극성을 가진 자석처럼 또 다른 특성들과 결합하여 확산된다. 이러한 확산이 질서가 될 때, 이 질서를 품은 도시는 살아있는 생명의 도시가 되며, 궁극적으로는 자연의 일부가 될 것이다. 김용남은 인간의 정신도 자연에 존재하는 물질로 보며 나름의 질량이 존재한다고 본다

Moreover, it is a natural phenomenon for all human beings to seek profit. Profit-seeking is ultimately an instinctive method to increase the sustainability of individual lives. However, we can make them perceive that there is one profit that they failed to earn here.
That unearned profit is the perception that the profit of another life can coincide with my profit and guarantee a much more long-term profit. When this perception and the profit-seeking of human beings form an intersection, the profitseeking of human beings can have the characteristic of becoming equivalent to the love for life.
This point is the intersection that he seeks, and in order to give birth to a ‘brick’ that connotes the characteristic, innumerable matings were attempted. Since this brick is a brick that involves a kind of gene, buildings born with this brick will attract beings with similar characteristics. Beings with life instinctively and intuitively identify, without any explanation or education, by only looking at the form revealing the implied genetic characteristics. Furthermore, that characteristic is combined with other characteristics and spread out, like magnets with polarity. When this spread becomes order, the city with this order becomes a city of living life, and will ultimately become a part of nature. Kim Yong-nam believes that the human mind is a substance that exists in nature, and that it has its own mass.
